This is not a criticism at all, but I would say if you ask that question, then yes you will find it boring. But like any place, you can "make your own fun". It's just more work here, IMHO. And it all depends on your situation. I have 2 young kids right now and CH is great for this so I don't have much chance to "go partying" but if I didn't have two young kids, my gut feeling is that we probably wouldn't stick around for much longer.

It is true that several other countries are close by and it's nice to visit them, but at least for me, the nicest thing about that is that you get a mini-break from Switzerland, and of course, everything costs less.

In theory it isnt boring but since prices are so high for the generally lousy service you get, it tends to get boring since you stop going out after a while.

If you like nature its not boring at all. Zurich is an ideal base for living in Western Europe if you have the means to travel with some range. You can shop and dine in Paris, and go clubbing in London. So well articulated haha! I felt exactly the same about Zurich and Geneva when I visited recently and was surprised shocked!

He was more focused on the beauty of the lake and the mountain. But seriously how can the cities be so so depressing and dull looking? I might move to Zurich or Zug in the next 4 months and just thinking about it depresses me! Like Like.
